Man who pointed shotgun in girlfriend's face at large, police say

A man who allegedly pointed a shotgun in his girlfriend's face in Hollywood and took off with their children remained at large Wednesday, Los Angeles police said.

The man, Alan Thomas, fled Tuesday after allegedly assaulting and threatening his girlfriend, police said. The children are safe, according to the LAPD.

Officers responded to a domestic call just after noon on Eleanor Avenue. The LAPD officers located the gun.
