Metrolink train hits, kills pedestrian in Van Nuys

Metrolink strikes pedestrian in Van Nuys
A Metrolink train struck and killed a person in Van Nuys on Thursday morning, authorities said.

Los Angeles firefighters responded to the scene near 8100 N. Woodley Ave. just after 9:15 a.m.

Metrolink officials said train 110 on the Ventura line struck a person west of the Van Nuys station. Buses were called to assist travelers on that line.
