Marijuana-growing operation discovered when fire sprinklers go off

Los Angeles firefighters discovered a marijuana-growing operation at a Hollywood residence Wednesday night after responding to a fire sprinkler system alarm, police said Thursday.

Firefighters responding to the residence on Harold Way found several inches of water inside. They also saw the plants and notified police, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

One person was arrested on suspicion of growing marijuana, police said. No further details were immediately available.
