Man carjacked by two attackers in the desert

Man carjacked near Lake Los Angeles.
A man was carjacked and shot in the head in Lake Los Angeles on Monday by two attackers who left the victim lying in the desert, authorities said.

The 21-year-old victim was airlifted to a hospital and underwent surgery, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. The man was in stable condition.

The attack occurred about 12:15 p.m near 180th Street East and Avenue M.

The attackers left in a gray four-door Toyota Camry with California license plate 6JPX870.
