Maintenance equipment stolen from Encino Little League field

About $7,000 worth of maintenance equipment has been stolen from a Little League field in Encino, Los Angeles police said Tuesday.

The burglary occurred between Friday afternoon and Monday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Detectives said the suspect or suspects removed an air vent on a storage shed and stole a leaf blower, hedge trimmer, chain saw, weed trimmers, pressure washer and other tools.

Los Angeles police said thefts imposed "a huge burden" on the players and community.

Anyone with information can call LAPD Det. Tracey Angeles at (818) 374-7730.
