L.A. Times book festival
People who want to buy passes for the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books can do so starting Thursday.

The festival, which takes place April 21 and 22 at USC, is free, but the $30 passes will enable participants to reserve tickets for panels, purchase valet parking and get discounted tickets for the L.A. Times Book Prizes.

Some of the participating authors include Judy Blume, T.C. Boyle, Robert Crais and John Green.

Pass-holders will also get a free copy of the festival poster.
