Kitchen worker shot dead at Malibu restaurant

A kitchen worker was shot to death in the parking lot of a Malibu restaurant Sunday night, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

The man, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 3800 block of Cross Creek Road.

“He was taking out the trash and never came back,” said Tony Waldrop, the manager of Guido’s restaurant, where the victim had worked for about a year. Waldrop said the man’s body was found  about 8:30 p.m.

No further details were available.
