Counselor stabbed at Hollywood job training school

A 19-year-old was in custody Wednesday evening after allegedly stabbing a counselor at a job training school in Hollywood, authorities said.

The attack occurred about 4:45 p.m. on the third floor of a building in the 1200 block of Lodi Place, said Karen Rayner of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The counselor was stabbed multiple times, Rayner said, and taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police took the 19-year-old into custody but have not released the person's name or even gender, nor that of the counselor.

Rayner said a crisis response team was called to the scene to talk to other counselors and students at the facility.
