I-405 to I-605 connector closed for emergency repair work

The California Department of Transportation closed the connector from southbound Interstate 405 to northbound Interstate 605 near Seal Beach on Friday night to do emergency repair work.

The connector was expected to be closed for several hours as workers repaired a hole in the overpass, Caltrans said.

To access northbound I-605 from southbound I-405, Caltrans recommended that drivers exit at Palo Verde Avenue and turn left, proceed north on Palo Verde to East Willow Street, turn right on East Willow and continue east to the northbound I-605 onramp.

Caltrans said drivers could call for further information to the District 12 Traffic Management Center at (949) 936-3600, or the Public Information Office at (949) 724-2000.
