Gunman holds at least one hostage in Buena Park bank

Federal and local authorities surrounded a small bank in Buena Park where an armed gunman was said to be holding at least one hostage, who authorities said is the manager of the bank.

Police are trying to contact the suspected gunman and are planning to bring in a SWAT team, officials said.

The incident at Saehan Bank, near Beach Boulevard and Los Coyotes Drive, was reported about 11:30 a.m., authorities said. The small bank sits at the end of a strip mall.

The alleged gunman ordered all the employees and customers out of the bank, but the manager wasn't allowed to leave, Cpl. Andy Luong of the Buena Park Police Department told KCAL-TV.
