Cool temperatures are expected to continue into Thursday as gusty winds build throughout the day, forecasters said.

By Thursday evening, winds in the Grapevine area are expected to reach 60 mph, with gusts hitting 70 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Gale force winds are projected for the outer waters off Southern California.

By Friday, the winds will shift to the northeast as a Santa Ana wind condition develops and warmer temperatures hit the region, the weather service said.
