Irvine woman, 41, accused of lewd contact with 14-year-old boy

Irvine police said they arrested a 41-year-old woman who works as a school aide on suspicion of lewd contact with a 14-year-old boy.

Investigators believe Nicole Ethel McMillen has had "sexual contact or other inappropriate physical contact with the victim on a number of occasions" in the last six weeks, police said in a statement. She was arrested at about 1 a.m. Sunday after the boy's parents contacted authorities.

McMillen's part-time job with the Tustin Unified School District is not believed to be connected to this case, the police statement says, but officials "have taken immediate steps to ensure McMillen has no contact with students."

Police said there may be other alleged victims and asked anyone with information to call (949) 724-7124 or to email ehutchcraft@cityofirvine.org.
