1 arrested, 1 sought in kidnapping, robbery of Riverside student
Police are looking for a man who allegedly helped kidnap and rob a college student last month in Riverside.
The 19-year-old student was getting into his car at the La Sierra Metrolink station on Jan. 24 when two young men approached him, police said. One of the suspects produced a knife and forced the victim into his vehicle and drove away.
The victim was threatened with the knife and ordered to hand over his ATM card and PIN, police said. When they stopped at a Bank of America, the victim managed to get away and flee, leaving his bank card behind.
The victim was able to hide in a nearby store, where he called police. The vehicle was located several hours later.
