Pedestrian killed near entrance to Bob Hope Airport
A motorist struck and killed a pedestrian Saturday near the south entrance of Bob Hope Airport, police said.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, was pronounced dead at the scene about 4 p.m. Saturday, Burbank Police Sgt. Scott Meadows said. The accident occurred on Empire Avenue.
Few details were available about the crash, but Meadows said the driver stopped at the scene.
The driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, he added.
