February 24, 2012 |  4:27 pm

A 68-year-old Burbank woman was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Michelle Coates allegedly got into an argument about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday with her son’s 49-year-old girlfriend, striking her on the forehead with an ashtray, Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn said.

The bloodied victim, who was not identified, told police that she and Coates had been drinking.

Coates, who remains in custody in lieu of $30,000 bail, is scheduled to appear in court Friday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
