Marine from Camp Pendleton killed in Afghanistan

A Marine from Camp Pendleton has been killed during combat operations in Afghanistan, the Pentagon announced Wednesday.

Sgt. William Stacey, 23, of Seattle, Wash., was killed Tuesday while on a walking patrol in Helmand province. He was a mortarman assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment.

Stacey was on his second deployment to Afghanistan.
