Man walking on Hollywood Freeway fatally hit by car

A man walking across the Hollywood Freeway was struck and killed Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The unidentified 25-year-old was walking in a middle northbound lane through the Cahuenga Pass when he was hit by a Toyota  at 1:20 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 65-year-old man from North Hollywood, was uninjured.
