Crime alerts for Beverly Grove and 12 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 13 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of Los Angeles Police Department data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Eleven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Beverly Grove (A) was the most unusual, recording six reports compared with a weekly average of 1.6 over the last three months.

Venice (L) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 33 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 20.8 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Feb. 2–Feb. 8, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
