Crime alerts for Wilmington and 13 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 14 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Six neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Wilmington (A) was the most unusual, recording nine reports compared with a weekly average of 4.3 over the last three months.

Glassell Park (G) topped the list of eight neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 13 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 6.7 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Jan. 27 to Feb. 2, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
