Human remains found in Lancaster puzzle homicide detectives

Authorities released a sketch Wednesday night of a man whose remains were found in July in Lancaster. Sketch of man whose remains were found in Lancaster.

The intact skeleton of the man was uncovered in bushes at the rear loading dock behind a closed Wal-Mart store at 44765 North Valley Central Way, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

A forensic artist prepared the sketch for homicide detectives, who are hoping to develop leads that might help identify the man.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Shannon Laren or Sgt. William Cotter of the department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. Anonymous tips can be left at (800) 222-8477.
