Black powder ignites during film shoot; stuntman critically hurt

Some type of black powdered exploded during a commercial shoot in Elysian Park on Friday, critically injuring a stuntman.

Los Angeles Fire Department sources said the stuntman suffered burns in the blast and was rushed to a local hospital.

The LAFD, Los Angeles Police Department and Cal-OSHA are investigating what went wrong.

The accident occurred about 2:30 p.m. Friday. It's unclear what was being filmed at the location above Dodger Stadium at 3500 Academy Road.
