Man barricades himself again to avoid police, officials say
A man believed to be connected to a burglary that occurred this week barricaded himself inside a North Hollywood residence Saturday afternoon, Los Angeles police said.
The man evaded a SWAT team Friday after he barricaded himself in the 2200 block of West Olive Avenue in Burbank, probably with multiple guns, authorities said. SWAT stood down about 3 a.m. Saturday, saying that there was no threat and that the suspect was not inside.
But the man was spotted again Saturday afternoon and has once again barricaded himself, this time in a home in the 5900 block of Cahuenga Boulevard in North Hollywood, police said.
Police were originally seeking to talk to the man about a burglary that occurred Thursday. They would not say whether the man, whose name has not been released, was a suspect in the crime.
