5-car accident snarls 710 Freeway near Imperial Highway

A multi-vehicle accident snarled traffic on the 710 Freeway in this area.
Southbound traffic on the 710 Freeway was at a standstill Monday night after a multi-vehicle accident near Imperial Highway.

The accident involved five vehicles and was reported about 9:45 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

It was unclear whether anyone was injured in the accident.

The CHP said a tow truck had been dispatched but that it would not arrive until after 10 p.m.
