10 Freeway jammed after bus accident

February 17, 2012 |  2:48 pm

A crash involving a transportation bus and three cars stalled traffic for miles on the westbound 10 Freeway in Alhambra on Friday afternoon.

The incident was reported at 11:43 a.m. just west of Atlantic Avenue, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Three people were taken to local hospitals, two with moderate injuries and one who complained of pain but had no visible injuries, said CHP Officer Luis Mendoza.

He said it’s not clear what caused the accident and they’re still investigating to see who hit whom.

All westbound lanes were closed for nearly an hour as CHP crews cleared the roadway. Lanes reopened at 1:45 p.m.
