Spilled oranges closes portion of Interstate 5

A load of oranges spilled onto the roadway of Interstate 5 Saturday morning, causing portions of the freeway to be closed.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig jack-knifed on the southbound 5 Freeway near the 14 Freeway in Sylmar.

The big rig spilled a load of oranges, which blocked two truck lanes on the 5 Freeway.

Officials said it could take several hours to clean up the oranges, according to the CHP's Twitter feed.
