Oakland teen admits to killing parents, hiding bodies in car

A 15-year-old Oakland boy was arrested after admitting to killing his parents and hiding their bodies in the family car, police said.

The young man, who has not been named because he's a minor, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of killing Robert Kamin, 54, and Susan Poff, 50, whose bodies were found hidden beneath blankets in the car parked outside the family home, the Oakland Tribune reported.

Police first went to the house after coworkers called to say the couple hadn't reported to work, but officers left when nothing appeared suspicious.

After another call, police returned, and an officer saw a body part peeking out from underneath a blanket in the car.

Police have not said how the couple was killed, nor have they released the motive for the high school freshman to kill his parents.
