Nick Cannon in pain but hopes for full recovery, Mariah Carey says

Actor Nick Cannon is in pain while being treated for kidney failure at a Los Angeles hospital but is hoping to make a full recovery, his wife, singer Mariah Carey, said.

Cannon, 31, was hospitalized in Aspen, Colo., where he and Carey were spending the holidays with their twin babies. Carey posted on her website that Cannon was suffering "mild kidney failure." He was moved to an undisclosed L.A. hospital Wednesday.

In an interview with People magazine from her husband's bedside, Carey said Cannon is in stable condition. "The situation is not easy," she said, adding the Cannon is "in a lot of pain."

She did not disclose any other details of his condition.

On Wednesday night, Cannon tweeted: "Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me... I will be a'ight"

Cannon is the host of "America's Got Talent." Howie Mandel, who is a judge on the show, sent Cannon well-wishes via Twitter, posting, "Get well soon buddy."

Fellow judge Sharon Osbourne spoke about Cannon on an episode of "The Talk" on Wednesday. "He is such a naughty, gorgeous boy. He's going to be fine. He's young and strong."

Cannon and Carey were married in April 2008. Their sons, Monroe and Moroccan Scott, were born in April 2011.
