New Miss California USA plans to attend medical school

The Miss California USA winner for 2012 is a 22-year-old UC Irvine junior.

A biking and motorcycle enthusiast, Natalie Pack said she joined the pageant on a lark and plans to attend medical school.

"I had no experience," she said in an appearance on KTLA Morning News on Monday. "I've always been a tomboy. I ride motorcycles. I don't do beauty pageants."

Pack said she signed up for the pageant to help get in touch with her feminine side.

"I want to get the message across to be confident," Pack said. "You just have to exude self-confidence and self-esteem because that's what is going to get you far in life and that's what's going to make you successful."
