Navy bomb expert killed in Afghanistan while serving with Marines
A Navy bomb disposal expert has been killed in combat in Afghanistan, the Pentagon announced Tuesday.
Petty Officer 1st-class Chad Regelin, 24, of Anderson in Northern California was assigned to a Marine Special Operations Company in Helmand province. Regelin was part of San Diego-based Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 3.
Regelin was on his second deployment to Afghanistan. He died Monday, the Pentagon said.
