Gene Simmons look-alike robs stores in Sacramento

A Sacramento-area robber with a possible Gene Simmons complex is wanted by police.

Sacramento police responded to a business robbery Jan. 19 around 8:45 p.m. after a suspect wearing a white clown mask similar to makeup worn by KISS, Simmons' rock band, climbed over the counter and fired two shots near a store employee, Sgt. Andrew Pettit said in a news release. The masked robber grabbed money from the register and fled on foot.

About 45 minutes later, the suspect entered a liquor store wearing the same mask and clothing. He fired a single shot inside the store and robbed the employees at gunpoint, Pettit said.

The suspect made his escape in a blue or black four-door sedan.
