A small grass fire flared along the 110 Freeway near Dodger Stadium on Sunday evening, but it was quickly contained, fire officials said.

The quarter-acre fire was reported about 5:48 p.m., burning along the southbound side of the freeway near Stadium Way, according to Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A helicopter and 19 firefighters responded, and the fire was put out in less than 30 minutes, he said. There were no injuries or structural damage reported, he said.
