Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Watsonville

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Wednesday evening five miles from Watsonville, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:21 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 6.8 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from both Pajaro and Aromas, 17 miles from Hollister and 30 miles from San Jose City Hall.

In the past ten days, there have been two earthquakes of  magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
