Earthquake: 3.1 quake strikes near The Geysers
A shallow magnitude 3.1 earthquake was reported Thursday morning two miles from The Geysers, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:54 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was six miles from Cobb, eight miles from Anderson Springs, 26 miles from Santa Rosa and 75 miles from San Francisco City Hall.
In the last ten days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
