Police find dead woman in Hermosa Beach apartment

Police responding to a report of an early morning argument inside a Hermosa Beach apartment found a woman dead inside the residence. They detained a man outside.

Witnesses summoned police to the apartment in the 700 block of Manhattan Avenue about 5 a.m., reporting an argument followed by a gunshot, police said. On arrival, police detained a man outside the building and then went inside the apartment, where they found the dead woman.
