After Tyler the Creator arrest, crowd rushes Sunset Boulevard
An L.A. County Sheriff's Department helicopter and units from the Universal substation and Beverly Hills Police Department responded to assist in dispersing the crowd on Sunset Boulevard.
No injuries or arrests of crowd members were reported, but the rapper, whose real name is Tyler Okonma, was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and released Friday morning.
Security guards at the Roxy called for deputies about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, saying Okonma had destroyed an electronic soundboard belonging to the club.
Okonma was performing there with his group, Odd Future.
