Hikers rescued by helicopter in eastern San Diego County

Two hikers were rescued Sunday from the rugged area near El Capitan Reservoir Dam in eastern San Diego County by a Sheriff's Department helicopter.

The two men, from Colorado, had gone hiking Saturday and become lost in unfamiliar territory, according to the Sheriff's Department. A helicopter pilot spotted the two yelling for help.

Neither hiker was injured.
