December 5, 2011 |  7:54 pm

MgeladzeAuthorities are seeking other possible victims of a man jailed on suspicion of kidnapping in connection with an alleged modeling scam, the Los Angeles Police Department said Monday.

Shota Mgeladze, 33, was arrested last week after he allegedly lured a teenage girl into his car.

The girl told police she was standing outside a school in the 600 block of 5th Avenue in Venice about 3:30 p.m. Thursday when a man drove up in a silver, two-door 2002 Mercedes-Benz CL 55 with temporary plates. She got into the car and he began to drive off, telling her he could make her a model and asking if he could take nude photos of her. When the driver abruptly pulled to the curb, the girl said, he grabbed her leg and tried to pull her toward him. She said she kicked him in the face and shoulder and fled.

Police arrested Mgeladze about 6:45 p.m. that day on suspicion of kidnapping for sexual motive.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Kim Porter at (213) 473-0447 or Crimestoppers at (800) 222-8477.
