Nephew of Nicole Simpson, girlfriend arrested

Police arrested the nephew of Nicole Brown Simpson and his live-in girlfriend on charges of domestic violence Tuesday in Santa Ana.

Police responded to a disturbance call at the couple's apartment building in the 100 block of MacArthur Boulevard at 2:30 a.m., said Stephen Colon, watch commander for the Santa Ana Police Department. After questioning the two residents, police arrested Sean Brown, 25, and Amy Johnson, 22, Colon said.

Both suspects sustained injuries, but did not require hospitalization, police said. They are being held at the Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Sean Brown is the son of Denise Brown, who was thrust into the spotlight after the 1994 death of her sister Nicole Brown Simpson.

O.J. Simpson was tried in the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole, but was found not guilty.
