Moorpark man arrested for alleged lewd gestures at children

A Moorpark man was arrested on child annoyance charges after a two-week investigation found him making lewd comments and obscene gestures at girls waiting for a school bus, police said Tuesday.

At least seven victims came forward and identified Andres Lazaro Bautista, 49, as the perpetrator, according to Moorpark police detectives.

Bautista allegedly targeted girls ranging from 9 to 14 years old as they walked to a school bus taking them to Flory Elementary.

Bautista was arrested Friday, authorities said.
