Man's body found in 'pack-rat' house fire

Packrat house fire in Walnut Park
A man's body was found Wednesday morning inside a "pack-rat-like" home in the Walnut Park area  following a fire, county fire authorities said.

Firefighters responding to the blaze in the 2500 block of Cole Place about 6:45 a.m. knocked down the flames in about 15 minutes, said county fire Inspector Quvondo Johnson.

They found the man's body inside, Johnson said. The man's identity was not yet released.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
