Hollywood shootout: Gunman identified as 26-year-old Tyler Brehm

     

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has identified the man who shot at motorists in Hollywood Friday morning, wounding one, before he was shot and killed by police.

Tyler Brehm, 26, died near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street minutes after wandering up the street firing a handgun.

The incident, filmed by dozens at the busy intersection, brought police officers from across the city and clogged traffic for hours.

A Facebook member by the name of Tyler Brehm is listed as living in Hollywood and being from Carlisle, Penn.

On Tuesday, the site lists him as switching his status from “in a relationship” to “single."

The Facebook page has a photo album titled “Cali Dreams” apparently of a trip he took to California in 2009. He’d recently changed his hometown to Carlisle and listed his place of residence as Hollywood.
