Holiday fireworks light up Manhattan Beach

December 11, 2011 |  9:11 pm

Manhattan Beach's annual Holiday Fireworks Festival filled South Bay skies with bursts of sound and color Sunday evening.

The festival, which several years ago replaced the city's Fourth of July fireworks show, began with the opening of a "snow park" at 4 p.m. and included a visit from Santa Claus and a holiday sing-along led by local bands.

The 7 p.m. fireworks were set to seasonal music.
