Woman killed in elevator accident at Cal State Long Beach

A woman was killed Wednesday on the campus of Cal State Long Beach in an elevator accident.

Details of the incident remain unclear. A Cal State Long Beach police spokesman would confirm only that there had been a death of campus "due to an accident" and that officials were investigating.

The Daily 49er campus paper reported the woman was killed at the Foundation Building and that part of the campus was closed off.

The paper also said the elevator appeared to malfunction.
