The gender of the deceased victim was not made public. But two men and one woman were injured, Taylor told The Times.

A source said the gunman was also an employee at the Edison building.

Employees hunkered down in locked offices after the gunman opened fire.

An employee told The Times that he and others locked the door to their office and put office equipment in front of it in hopes of preventing the gunman from getting in.

The shooting prompted a lockdown at several schools as officials determined whether the gunman was still alive.

The shooting occurred about 2 p.m. at 4910 Rivergrade Road. Employees were seen on the television news walking out of the building with their arms up.
