Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash in Lake Forest

Bicyclist killed in hit-and-runAuthorities searched Wednesday for a driver who killed a 47-year-old bicyclist in a hit-and-run crash in Lake Forest.

A witness saw the driver leave the scene of the collision Tuesday night near Serrano Road and Ridge Route Drive, said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

“We're looking for a white van that should have some front-end damage,” Amormino said.

Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he died early Wednesday morning. His identity has not been released.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to call (855) 847-6227.
