Bellflower High girls track coach held in sex assault case

Bryan_Shepherd_A Bellflower High School girls basketball and track coach was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a former student, authorities said.

Bryan Shepherd, 47, who has lived in Torrance, assaulted the victim during a four-year period, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

He was being held in lieu of $3-million bail after the arrest by sheriff's detectives.
