Woman in her 90s attacked amid Halloween trick-or-treaters

A woman in her 90s was attacked inside her home as trick-or-treaters roamed through her Sacramento neighborhood Monday night.

The woman was taken to the hospital after someone -- or several people -- broke into her home and struck her, the Sacramento Bee reported.

According to the newspaper, police don't believe that the intruder was a trick-or-treater.

But the paper reported that detectives struggled to find the attacker amid the throngs of children out on the streets for Halloween night.

On Scene Action Media reported that the woman suffered a wound to the face.
