Middle school teacher had sex with former student, police say
A Temecula middle school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old girl who was once his student, Murrieta police said Thursday.
James Pinckard, 56, of Murrieta, a teacher at Day Middle School in Temecula, was arrested Tuesday night, according to a Murrieta police report.
Officers responded to a burglary alarm sounding at a corporate center, where they saw Pinckard's van in the parking lot.
There were no signs of entry into the building, but inside the van, they found Pinckard and the girl hiding, according to the report.
Pinckard and the girl, a former student at Day Middle School, had allegedly been meeting for more than a year to have sex, according to the report.
Pinckard was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
