Fourteen people have been killed throughout  California since Thursday, CHP said. Eleven were killed last year statewide, four of them in Los Angeles County.

The CHP said there were more arrests this year than last year in L.A. County for driving under the influence. In the 72-hour span, there have been 200 drunk driving arrests in the county compared with 182 over four days last year. Statewide, however, there have been 903 this year compared with 973 in 2010.

The CHP is measuring the 96-hour span between Thursday and Sunday of the Thanksgiving holiday with deaths and DUIs on the state's roadways.
