Man injured in deputy-involved shooting in Norwalk

Norwalk officer-involved shooting
A man was in the hospital Tuesday after a deputy-involved shooting in Norwalk, officials said.

The shooting took place at 3:50 a.m. on the 11700 block of Elmcroft Avenue; the injured man was not identified.

Los Angeles County sheriff's officials have not released any information on the circumstances that led to the shooting. No deputies were injured.

The incident, like all deputy-involved shootings, will be investigated by the L.A. County district attorney's office, the sheriff's homicide bureau and the internal affairs bureau.

Attorneys with the Los Angeles Office of Independent Review will also review the incident.
